Click on the image on at left to download and play a video [528 Kb] of a Dynamic Soaring orbit with a partial span Trick RC Zagi-THL. This orbit ends up in the same place and at the same speed as it started. An orbit like this can be repeated as long as the wind, the pilot and the batteries are up to it. This particular clip was shot in less than 10 mph (4.5 m/s) wind speed. The combat derived airframes used do not develop nearly the speed factor that a low drag composite ship can while Dynamic Soaring. The soft foamie flying wings also will not put a hole deep into you, the ground or your wallet if you plant one while Dynamic Soaring. They are quite safe and durable for the activity, and they will spin your head around just as fast while trying to follow them. This partial span concept is covered in detail in the LAB section here at Hand Launch Aerobatics, and different examples are also shown in the Airplanes section.
