TipStrike
Click on the image on at left to download and play a video [236 Kb] of things going wrong fast. The model starts out going cross wind just behind the lip of the slope, turning left into the wind. While turning, the model catches the low tip on some brush at the lip, and the wind does the rest. this is a typical scenario when crossing the lip into the wind in a low turn, because the high wing tip catches the shear boundary first and pushes the model into a steeper bank angle. This happens in a split second, with no warning and no time for the pilot to react at such low altitude before the ground interrupts the flight. The modified Trick RC Zagi-THL is not harmed in the process, ready to throw for the next flight. Good "high impact" audio. Video by Clark.
